CAMPDEN WEALTH – SAUDI ARABIAN FAMILY ENTERPRISE CONFERENCE (SAFE) 2020
Recognising the sweeping transformative changes taking place in KSA in lieu of Vision 2030 and lack of global participation in the local market, Campden Wealth set out to launch our first event to take place in KSA; The Saudi Arabian Family Enterprise Initiative (“SAFE 2020”). Bringing together the most prominent families and wealth holders in the heart of the biggest economy in the Middle East, this endeavour would:
• Cement Campden as the leading player in the region.
• Engage more of the Saudi wealth community.
• Better address the key macro issues in KSA which have a ripple effect throughout the region and indeed globally.
Campden Wealth worked with leading government divisions, corporations and organisations to ensure complete immersion and attendee experience.
Alongside industry leading content, attendees had access to the PGA Saudi International Golf Open and a tour to Al Ula, the world heritage site not yet open to tourists.
The event overachieved on every facet:
• Number of attendees: +27% over target
• Sponsorship: +39.5% over target
• Costs: +135% under budget
• Profit: +70% over target
• 96% approval rating from attendees
CONTENTIVE – HRD SUMMIT/US
HRD Summit/US was created as a geo-clone of the successful HRD series, which has in prior years been focused in Europe.
The Summit took place in a highly saturated and competitive market, and our focus was on establishing a firm proposition in this new market. We achieved this by focusing on the most valuable parts of our proposition, and enhancing them to differentiate ourselves within the market and delight customers on both sides.
HRD Summit/US delivered 320 delegates to the inaugural event, exceeding our seniority target by achieving 79% C-Suite and C-Suite minus one. The NPS of our intimate roadshow series broke all companies records ranging from +69 – +100 for these five pre-Summit events.
The NPS for the Summit was +35 for delegates and +15 for sponsors, again exceeding our original targets in both areas. Feedback included: “Just wow! This event was truly inspiring and will change my career”.
DMG EVENTS – GASTECH EXHIBITION & CONFERENCE 2019
Established over 45 years ago Gastech has established itself as the definitive global event for the gas, LNG and energy industry, attracting Heads of State, Ministers, Government Officials and C-suite executives. Gastech covers the entire energy value chain with senior representatives from all the major national oil companies, independent oil and gas companies, as well as strategic and technical experts from the entire energy supply chain. With gas and LNG poised to play a pivotal role in the transition to a clean energy mix, Gastech plays a vital role in the battle against climate change.
HYVE GROUP – AFRICA OIL WEEK
With revenue increasing by a whopping 70% in the past 2 years, Africa Oil Week is a brand with over 26 years of heritage, but with its focus firmly on the future. In 2019, AOW made some significant changes to reflect the priorities of its existing customer base, and to attract a wider selection of delegates than ever before.
New content streams included the South Africa Showcase, dedicated to the hydrocarbon potential and energy future of our host country, and the Future Technology & Innovation Forum, a platform for oilfield service providers, EPCs and technology providers to discuss pioneering technologies which are increasing efficiency and reducing cost in the sector.
Driving government attendance was another priority for 2019, with the newly formed government relations team beating previous records and securing the attendance of 26 ministers and government leaders. Ministers and other VIPs (including senior representatives from 6 supermajors – BP, Chevron, ExxonMobil, ENI, Shell and Total) were treated to a tailored programme, including a Symposium and Gala Dinner and a personalised meetings schedule.
We are proud to say that AOW has cemented its position as the must-attend “Davos style” industry event of its kind.
INFLOW SUMMITS – INFLOW SUMMITS & MEET-UPS
The most influential and biggest event through the INFLOW Summits’ history created an interactive gathering for effective cooperation between global brands and leading influencers of the digital universe.
In addition to the conference, special get togethers, different experiences, B2I meetings, marketing activities and most importantly creating unforgettable memories gathered with INFLOW Global Summit and Awards’19 in one of the most beautiful cities, Istanbul.
RISK.NET – RISK USA
Risk USA’s 25th anniversary event was an exercise in delivering quality content, a fantastic onsite experience, and growth in all areas (sponsorship, audience and gross profit). The event was developed very closely with Risk.net’s editorial team and has since become a leading product of the Risk Events portfolio. For an established conference, the team set a very ambitious sponsorship revenue growth target, which we exceeded by £50,000. We also aimed to invest in the onsite experience and provided a myriad of new features. All of this was achieved whilst ensuring gross profit was protected. Not only did we achieve the GP target, but we also exceeded that goal by 20%. Testimonials from speakers, sponsors and attendees alike were glowing, and are a real testament to the success of this event.
TEN6 CREATIVE – XPERIENCE ’19
When CX giants Genesys approached TEN6 Creative to once again bring their
annual convention to life, the brief was simple: create the customer experience event
of the year. With this partnership now entering its fourth year, TEN6 brought a wealth
of knowledge and understanding of both Genesys and the wider industry allowing
them to successfully devise a brand-new format for the event, including reaching a
record-breaking global audience through live-streaming for the first time.
With Genesys customers, partners and employees gathering for educational
sessions, sponsorship exhibitions, networking activities and a jam-packed general
session agenda in Denver, Colorado, TEN6 was tasked to deliver four days of
impactful, memorable experiences in line with the Genesys brand and values. The
result was Xperience 2019, their most engaging and immersive event to-date.
THE OIL & GAS COUNCIL – CLARION EVENTS – THE MSGBC BASIN SUMMIT & EXHIBITION
The 4th Annual MSGBC Basin Summit & Exhibition took place in January 2020 in Dakar. Since 2016, the Oil & Gas Council has promoted the region and the development of its nascent oil & gas industry through its partnership with Senegal’s National Oil Company, PETROSEN, and the Ministry of Energy, by hosting the region’s only oil & gas event. This year, the event hit many major milestones, including hosting the President for the first time and surpassing its target by 35%.
2020 highlights included an unprecedentedly low 4% speaker drop-out rate across the whole event and a seamless onsite experience led to a very successful rebook strategy and a highly symbolic move from the King Fahd Hotel to the much larger CICAD convention centre in 2021. Another major goal was for the event to support in country capacity building. We thus offered 20 companies the opportunity to have “presence pods”, which would allow them to display their services without the high costs usually associated with a stand. We also offered a highly discounted rate for local companies and the result was incredible: 55% of final paying attendees took advantage of the local rate compared to 37% in 2018.
