At Athena, we pride ourselves on being a flexible and versatile venue, that can customise events to suit client needs, with a very personal touch. Not only that, we excel with our customer service, catering abilities, an art deco space and a dedicated events team who work with our clients to ensure we deliver an exceptional event. Athena is located in the cultural quarter of Leicester with accessible national train and bus links, as well as onsite parking for those who need it.
We are continuously investing the venue to ensure we have the most up to date technology and equipment to meed the demand for clients and we have hosted repeat events for a number of clients who were thrilled with the venue and the customer service we provided, as well as our catering service. We have an in-house team who work on the menus to ensure the food is of the highest standard and quality which is an extremely important aspect of event management, when hosting dinners and awards ceremonies.
Our commitment to provide an inclusive service, thus reducing the need for third party supplies has resulted in a 95% retention rate which we are extremely proud of.
Celtic Manor Resort
The Celtic Manor Resort is an outstanding five-star conference and leisure destination located two minutes from the M4 motorway at the gateway to South Wales.
With 600 bedrooms spread over four hotels and 10 executive lodges, three championship golf courses, two luxury spas and health clubs, and extensive adventure activities for team building on a 2,000-acre site, Celtic Manor has gained widespread recognition as one of the finest and most versatile conference resorts in Europe.
The resort has established a reputation for holding major global events, having been the host venue for the 2010 Ryder Cup and the 2014 NATO Summit, the largest gathering of world leaders ever held in the UK.
The state-of-the-art venue is accessible, versatile and offers every possible amenity with flexible space for a wide range of conferences, events, exhibitions, product launches, dinners and concerts.
The Convention Centre adjoins the main Resort Hotel and has a total floor space of 6,000 square metres and its largest room, the Caernarfon Suite, can hold 1,500 delegates for a lecture or 900 dining guests for a gala dinner. The Exhibition Hall offers 1,200 square metres of floor space.
Cockpit Hotel, Ibis London Earls Court Hotel & ILEC Conference Centre
ILEC Conference Centre features one of London’s smartest venue. The main London Suite provides formidable flexibility enabling planners to choose from over 30 floor plans to suit events of up to 1200 guests. This impressive pillar-free hall is also fitted with state-of-the-art technologies and stylish contemporary décor, perfect to create the most engaging set-up designed for your audience. The high ceiling will permit the most ambitious production combined with in-built LED lighting to fashion various mood or dramatic sets. Additional syndicate rooms, all with natural daylight, are also available as meeting spaces, hospitality lounges or break-out rooms.
ILEC’ most recent renovations were in 2016 where £5 million was spent on AV lighting, a higher capacity in AV & Internet capacity and other features. At birth when built, ILEC was the largest pillar free space in London. The ILEC Conference Centre is part of the Ibis London Earls Court Hotel. The hotel is currently undergoing a bedroom refurbishment and a repositioning in 2024 becoming a Mercure Hotel, under the same brand Accor. The hotel will become a 4 star midscale product and the ILEC conference centre will be the main meeting room, ballroom and the heart of the restored property.
Manchester Central is one of the UK’s largest and most versatile event venues. Boasting over 23,000m² of space and a 10,000+ capacity, it welcomes over a quarter of million visitors each year.
Situated in the heart of the North, it has indeed been central to the regeneration of the events industry and the region in 2022. Adding £96m into the Greater Manchester economy in the past year, and ensuring over 60 per cent of venue supplier expenditure is retained within the city-region, cementing itself as an integral part of the region’s ecosystem, intrinsic to local economic growth.
In the 12 months from Feb 2022 – Feb 2023, the venue hosted 196 events and attracted over 270,000 visitors.
Boasting 28 individual event spaces, including three conference halls, a purpose-built auditorium and broadcast-quality production studios for virtual audiences, the flexible, multi-format venue hosts an array of culturally diverse events, from intimate meetings to high-profile corporate conferences, sporting competitions, public exhibitions and large-scale international trade shows.
P&J Live is Scotland’s newest live events venue, opened in 2019 as the UK’s most sustainable venue of its kind. With 15,000 sqm of pillar free, exhibition floor space, 7 conference spaces (4 conference rooms – 2 sub-divisible), 11 meeting spaces (9 meeting rooms – 2 sub-divisible), 15,000 capacity arena – largest flat floor in the UK, and a further exhibition expansion area of 33,000 sqm, the venue is truly adapted to cater for any requirement and an extremely flexible premium live event space.
Built in 1812 as a hub for luxury imports, over the years Tobacco Dock has been everything from wine storage to 80’s shopping centre, music video backdrop to army base during the Olympics! Versatility is written into the fabric of the building and continues with its latest (and greatest!) incarnation as one of the UK’s most in-demand events venues.
The architectural layout of our spaces, all constructed on a 3 fathoms by 3 fathoms grid, means there is a built in division of spaces while also adding an extra layer of character and a sense of place.
With 16,000 sqm and 57 spaces to play with, the Tobacco Dock team can build event layouts to suit meetings for 6 to EMEA conferences for thousands and everything in between. Over the period of consideration, the venue has hosted a huge variety of event types from food festivals to dance events, product launches to film premieres, Christmas parties to international multi-day conferences, fitness events to tech showcases.
All this is underpinned by a mighty 10Gb bandwidth data network and WiFi 6, allowing up to 8,000 devices to be used simultaneously and which allows for instant and reliable streaming across the globe.
Troxy is a famous cultural landmark and East London destination. Troxy is the largest of London’s few remaining independent venues and hosts an impressive roster of live and corporate events all year round.
The venue is continually evolving to elevate the experience for event organisers and guests, with the last 12 months including a significant refurbishment to increase production values and refreshed approved supplier initiatives to meet self imposed sustainability targets.
The 12 strong full-time team includes event managers, operations professionals, and production specialists. The team leads a dedicated part-time workforce of over 150 bar, security and operations staff to consistently deliver exceptional events.
Already an historic venue, Troxyl has played host to an array of award ceremonies, exclusive film premieres, conferences, charity events and televised production sets. Troxy’s ability to cater to astonishing events is what sets it apart from its competitors.
Twickenham Stadium is the home of England Rugby and has also been an established meetings and events business for over 20 years. This continuous development culminated in the launch of the stadium’s impressive East Stand in 2018, adding an additional five levels of flexible restaurant and event space. It completed a series of works that has seen both the West and South stands developed into state-of-the-art conference and event facilities, across its many hospitality boxes, restaurants, concourse areas, and the pitch and bowl itself. Hosting over 1000 events per year, across four stands and 34 flexible event spaces, Twickenham continues to be one of the most versatile event spaces. Over and above the physical assets of the stadium, it’s the passion and dedication from the team and outstanding catering which continues to bring clients back to Twickenham time and time again.
