Africa Oil Week –
In the face of global pandemic turmoil, Africa Oil Week delivered one of the best editions to date. Connecting the African Oil and Gas industry, in 2022 the event relocated continent with 8x months to go. Despite booking a venue (and not being able to travel and see it!), the team delivered a record 32 government officials, secured exclusive travel permits to welcomed over 1,600 delegates from 73 countries and exceeded all financial KPIs, alongside recording a record 104% increase in delegate NPS. The conference delivered CPD accredited industry leading content which was endorsed and produced by the industry – our programme advocated the sustainable development of oil and gas in a changing market and played a crucial role in providing investment to Africa during the pandemic.
Audience – Shared Services Conference
Over the last 24 years, the two-day in-person Deloitte Shared Services Conference has become a “must attend” event for leaders in the industry. In November 2021, we transformed it into a one-day hybrid event for 400 in-person C-Suite clients, partners and prospects and over 1,500 virtual delegates.
At a time where the business world was searching for ways to create impactful connections within their network, Deloitte briefed us to transform their conference into a hybrid event. The goal was to wow the audience and connect delegates efficiently by creating a dynamic, sustainable, technologically advanced conference.
We utilised an open-plan model, designed with in-person and virtual delegate engagement at the forefront. The focal 360° wrap-around theatre, live ‘SSC studio’ combined with state-of-the-art technology and innovative audio-visual touchpoints created a new energised link with the virtual audience, acting as an anchor to take them through the day, offering a variety of interactive experiences and unique content.
SSC 2021 was the first large-scale hybrid experience within the sector. The impact was huge with over 890 leads generated on-site, over 39 virtual delegates from countries attended, and we generated over 2,400 main session views, with an 86% delegate rating.
orough Bench Media – Open Banking Expo UK
Open Banking Expo is the UK’s largest Open Banking conference, bringing together c-level executives from banking, fintech and policy maker spheres. After going digital in 2020, it returned to London in 2021 and achieved more delegates, more SPEX revenue and more satisfaction! All on a marketing budget of £0.
To drive success, Open Banking Expo developed a close community with industry pioneers across the broad Open Banking eco-system. This has enabled the event to offer exclusive content, speakers unseen on other conference agendas, and a 365 platform the industry can harness to collaborate, share ideas and do deals.
Introducing a community-led approach in early 2021, which included the launch of TV episodes, podcasts and live panel debates enabled more regular touchpoints and better engagement with its audience. It is unique in its approach; unlike competing events that focus on how Open Banking can be used to make more profit, Open Banking Expo is the first event to utilise Open Banking as a force for good. To support our ethos, we donated a % of our ticket sales to charity.
Government Events – The National Combatting Gangs, Violence & County Lines Conference
Government Events specialises in delivering information-driven public sector conferences and events at the forefront of Government policy. The National Combatting Gangs, Violence & County Lines Conference originated as the Government Events team identified from current affairs, news articles and government policy that gang and weapon crime, and its connection with county lines activity, is an increasingly prevalent and complex issue for organisations across the public sector to address.
The future of gangs, violence and county lines activity after the Covid-19 pandemic is unclear, with gang and knife crime expert Professor Simon Harding warning that violence is likely to intensify after the lockdowns. The National Youth Agency has also warned that gangs were on a ‘recruitment drive’ during lockdown, increasingly targeting vulnerable children and girls.
It is more important than ever for conferences to bring light to these increasing difficult situations. At the National Combatting Gangs, Violence & County Lines Conference delegates heard the latest national updates on tackling gang crime and county lines, choosing from two streams of practical best practice case studies in the afternoon to tailor their learning to their organisation’s needs.
Healthcare Conferences UK & NHS Practitioner Health – International Practitioner Health Summit 2022
The International Wounded Healer conference 2022 was joyful conference aimed at improving mental health and wellbeing of doctors, and creating hope after covid-19. Our Client was the NHS Practitioner Health Programme, an award winning service set up to support doctors experiencing health or mental health issues. Healthcare Conferences UK in partnership with NHS Practitioner Health delivered a joyful hybrid event for both onsite (250 attendees) and online delegates (104 attendees). The not for profit event was held to raise awareness of the importance of supporting the mental health and wellbeing of doctors and ultimately reduce the prevalence of suicide.
The CPD certified programme included international, national and expert speakers leading in the field of mental health and wellbeing and supporting doctors in difficulty, including the Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty, Chief Nursing Officer Ruth May, and Author, Comedian & former Doctor Adam Kay (This is going to hurt). The event also included an exhibition and additionally a choir and singing lessons, an art exhibition, a play, book signing sessions, live streaming and a charity partner.
The impact of the conference is ongoing resulting in a Conference Consensus Statement for moving forward after the conference and putting forward to NHS England.
Infopro Digital – Asia Risk
Congress
Asia Risk and Risk.net are the leading trade publications specialized in regulations, derivatives markets and risk management for financial institutions. Asia Risk Congress, our annual flagship event, is the “live” version of the publication, addressing the challenges and opportunities pertinent to the Asia Pacific market.
Since its inception in 2004, the Congress has become the most established and reputable conference of its kind. The 2021 edition is no different. Having hosted 45 sessions, 130 speakers, 26 sponsors and over 1,000 attendees, the event was a remarkable success and was by far the most ambitious production in ARC’s history, with a packed agenda across five days that covered six overarching themes: risk and regulation, climate risk, non-financial risk, derivatives, quantitative finance and investing.
MAD//Fest London (Hippocampus Media) – MAD//Fest London 2022
A live, in-person festival in summer 2021? MAD//Fest was a triumph of creativity and innovation over adversity as the marketing industry’s big reunion went ahead in the glamorous location of an east London car park! Working with brands like Dishoom, Diageo and Campari, MAD//Fest ’21 was a unique event experience where an invite-only audience of the word’s most influential brands and agencies could finally meet to learn, network and enjoy MAD//Fest’s legendary hospitality. By daring to be different and re-engineering the evenr, MAD//Fest smashed all commercial targets and delivered triple-digit growth in the most challenging of times.
Maverick Live – Hyde in the Park 2021
‘Hyde in the Park’ was delivered to remarkable success in 2021. The event had everything, smashing all its objectives through a seamless 360 event production delivery by Maverick Live. Appointed to deliver the event in only the 2nd month of our company’s history, a huge amount of faith was shown with this big budget event. 1,100 delegates coming together to be seen as one of the first, safe and in person events back post covid.
A festival theme at South of England show ground was the perfect solution to unite, celebrate and deliver strategy. Through event management, AV production, Branding, Design, Content amd Video we brought the vision to life with delegate experience at the heart of the journey. The inclusive event had the client’s ‘People’ engaged, energised and informed through an incredible day.
Big tops, Marketplace, Registration, Team Building, celebrity host, inspirational guest speaker, facilities implementation, ‘Hydes got Talent stage’, Main stage, games, face painting, Bandiokie, interactive technology, delegates logistics, lanyards, bunting and festoon for miles, camping, a vast range of food/ drink vans our festival had the lot. The feedback was outstanding, tagged the ‘best event ever’ by the client, surpassing expectations.
The Assembly – CrimeCon
CrimeCon U.K. launched in 2021 and is already the premium true crime event in the U.K. for enthusiasts and industry professionals. It brought this riveting and rapidly-expanding genre of entertainment to life in an immersive, engaging, and accessible convention. For the audience, it was akin to a meeting of minds and joining friends made in the on-line build-up over the previous 12 months.
Documentary makers, experts, podcasters and law enforcement professionals had the opportunity to meet with true crime enthusiasts and share real life stories from survivors and victims’ families.
Over one weekend, 70 hours of true crime content, across 5 stages and featured over 100 true crime contributors and experts. Additionally, immersive experiences including police dogs and finger-print matching, meet and greets with emerging and established stars, a live podcast studio and access to V.I.P. special events offered a variety of activities. Interactive lanyards kept everyone informed of the schedule of events.
CrimeCon U.K. engages with the true crime community all year round, with events & activations including Instagram Live for a bookclub, live speaker Q&A’s and ‘CrimeConversations’ the events very own podcast series. This in turn builds a platform to promote future events and creates a ready-made audience.
