Hennik Research (part of Nineteen Group), Smart Factory Expo
Now in its eighth year, Smart Factory Expo is a place where future-facing manufacturers come together to discuss exciting opportunities arising from the intersection of high value manufacturing, technology, and innovation.
At The Manufacturer we are passionate about and dedicated to UK manufacturing. We created Smart Factory Expo with the vision of it being the meeting place for our manufacturing community to engage with new technologies and discover emerging start-ups that will soon change the industrial landscape with their innovative solutions.
Just over 3,800 unique attendees visited Exhibition Centre Liverpool on 16-17 November for Smart Factory Expo 2022, the UK’s largest festival of digital manufacturing. Our visitors experienced unique features including exclusive masterclasses delivered by the Institute of Manufacturing, University of Cambridge, sector-specific Networking Hours, a virtual manufacturing themed art installation, Best of British Showcase, Innovation Alley and Manufacturers of the Future STEM afternoon.
This year, we are excited that Smart Factory Expo 2023 will move and become part of Manufacturing & Engineering Week, taking place at the NEC in June. Creating a one-stop-shop that will showcase global end-to-end manufacturing and engineering solutions to encourage conversation, business, and knowledge sharing on a scale not previously seen in the UK.
Hyve Group, Africa Oil Week
Africa Oil Week puts Africa at the heart of everything we do.
Following a 3 year gap and following the covid dust settling, the AOW organisers set about returning to Africa, embracing the global energy transition and growing the event to pre-pandemic levels.
Informa Connect, Najah Dubai
Najah University Expo is a leading higher-education student recruitment fair that connects students and parents with world-class learning institutions. Banking on the 15-year legacy of Najah Abu Dhabi, the first-ever Najah Dubai was held at the Dubai Expo 2020, but due to Covid-19, the event failed to meet targets with low attendance and negative Net Promoter Scores.
In order to regain trust of exhibitors and engage GenZ audiences for the 2nd edition of Najah Dubai, Informa Connect created a digital first strategy that will address the current needs of its stakeholders and leverage the current technologies. The team worked tirelessly to curate content, develop targeted campaigns and create a seamless user experience to maximise engagement.
The outcome was extraordinary. Najah Dubai 2022 achieved record-breaking numbers across all KPIs, and even surpassed the industry average for Net Promoter Scores from exhibitors.
Following the remarkable success of Najah Dubai, Informa Connect has decided to broaden their reach and bring the Najah brand to more regions in the Middle East. More importantly, Najah Dubai addressed a pressing need for accurate and accessible higher education information on a local level through a platform that encourages learning and sparks dialogue about the youth’s future potential.
Latch Events, Clean & Tidy Home Show
The Clean & Tidy Home Show, founded by Penny Moyses, is a unique event that celebrates and supports individuals in creating a clean, organised, and functional home that enables and enhances their desired lifestyle.
Unlike other events that focus solely on creating a show home, the Clean & Tidy Home Show focuses on improving the lives of its visitors and building a supportive community. Bold strategies included the event’s Shine Squad (Ambassador) campaign, its personal approach – with all touch points being ‘from Penny’ and an extensive account management process – as well as blanket inclusivity extending to no paid speakers or discounted tickets. These all contributed to an event that 96% of visitors said they would recommend to a friend, and exceeded objectives despite train strikes on show day.
The event generated so much ‘FOMO’ through social media on Day 1 meant that Day 2 saw the show’s Instagram impressions exceeding 183,000 and welcomed surprise visits from celebrities Mrs Hinch and Stacey Solomon!
MAD//Fest London

The 2023 edition cemented MAD//Fest as the UK’s most exciting marketing and advertising industry event with eye-catching growth, attendee feedback and distinctive show features.
