Glaziers Hall
With seven unique spaces, each with its own charm, the venue offers so much choice for customers. With that comes a challenge: finding the right room or combination of spaces for each event.
Calling upon experience, the team are on hand to provide recommendations based on previous functions and an unrivalled understanding of the venue, its capacity and flow.
As an example, when less than 48-hours before a national press conference to announce a high profile boxing event, to be syndicated with news outlets around the world, the team developed a plan that would provide changing rooms, private interview space, press red carpet and theatre style conference space for media questions and official photographs.
A walk through was arranged for both contenders and their teams ahead of the event and the stage was set. Security was essential, with confirmed attendance only and no public spectators or unofficial guests permitted. The event was a resounding success, resulting in the Hall being recognized as a perfect venue for press events.
Although this wouldn’t be the obvious use for an historic Livery venue, it’s the attention to detail and professional insight of the team that makes Glaziers Hall so appealing to clients.
One Great George Street
Just a ding-dong away from Big Ben, charismatic venue One Great George Street offers 21 flexible spaces which marry tradition with innovation.
As a Grade II listed building it’s got more period features than you can shake a stick at, with rich neo-Palladian and Baroque interiors, yet it shakes off any possibility of stuffiness with unique glass dome ceilings that flood the venue with natural light, and cutting-edge technology throughout. An expert on-site audio visual team and in-house catering team conjure up experimental sets and dishes to dazzle.
It’s a firm favourite for royalty, fashion shows and filming – Wonder Woman herself was seen flying around the venue. Cool spots include the jaw-dropping Great Hall with painted ceiling and glass chandeliers, two tiered theatres, four ornate States Rooms and a library fit for Beauty & the Beast which doubles up as an innovative, interactive learning hub.
The venue pioneered accessibility in historic venues with the installation of its front entrance Sesame Platform Lift which is still used as a model today, and it has impeccable, award-winning sustainability credentials.
