CUSTARD COMMUNICATIONS & MASTER INNHOLDERS – CHALLENGE YOUR PERSPECTIVE
The Hotel Leadership Conference is an evolvement of the Master Innholders Annual General Managers Conference. In 2020 the conference championed change for the industry and attracted a more diverse audience than ever before. Thanks to a strong repositioning strategy and partnership between The Master Innholders and Custard Communications as well as the keen support of the venue Hilton London Bankside the conference received the best feedback to date. 470 delegates attended and 99% said it was the must attend event of the year. Moving from a conference focused on general managers and breaking the barriers of those who perceived the conference to be closed to Master Innholders has created a conference that now appeals to every discipline and level with the hotel sector and challenges the industry.
ENGAGE BUSINESS MEDIA – EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT SUMMIT
Twice the delegates, twice the sponsors, a larger venue, and a 71% increase in turnover – these are just some of the achievements of the 2019 Employee Engagement Summit (EES), a conference that has undergone a major transformation in just 12 months. But these successes didn’t come easily. HR professionals are always crying out for fresh insights and techniques to increase motivation and drive loyalty among employees; and with more than twenty employee engagement conferences across Europe, you’d assume that this area was properly catered to – but this was not the case. With the 2019 EES conference behind us, we are delighted to report that our efforts saw a 150% increase in delegate numbers, 50% more content after we added a third seminar hall, a 95% delegate satisfaction score, 50% more sponsors and a significant increase in turnover. The transformation of the Employment Engagement Summit – its increased attendance, its improved delegate satisfaction, and the increase in turnover – is testament to our team and our development approach. INSIDE GOVERNMENT – THE APPRENTICESHIPS CONFERENCE
The Apprenticeships Conference is a national event held annually bringing together a cross-sector audience to assess the latest policy and practice in the delivery of high-quality apprenticeship programmes. In 2019 it conducted a research-led transformation to improve interactivity, cross-sector collaboration and diversify the audience base. The results were with a 109% increase in delegates, a tripling of sponsorship deals, a 250% increase in private sector registrations and the largest growth for an existing Conference in the division’s history.
PROCUREMENT LEADERS – WORLD PROCUREMENT WEEK
World Procurement Week is a collection of multi-faceted events that cater to the wider procurement team and ecosystem. Our signature events of the World Procurement Congress and Awards are the flagship events during the week but the new additions of an Indirect Category Leadership Forum and two, separate strategy deep dives balanced the tactical with the strategic and forward-looking topics typically explored during the Congress. With this, everyone from Chief Procurement Officers to strategy heads, category leaders, and more can attend events that align with their specific role while also benefiting from connecting with the wider procurement community.
RISK.NET – RISK USA
Risk USA’s 25th anniversary event was an exercise in delivering quality content, a fantastic onsite experience, and growth in all areas (sponsorship, audience and gross profit). The event was developed very closely with Risk.net’s editorial team and has since become a leading product of the Risk Events portfolio. For an established conference, the team set a very ambitious sponsorship revenue growth target, which we exceeded by £50,000. We also aimed to invest in the onsite experience and provided a myriad of new features. All of this was achieved whilst ensuring gross profit was protected. Not only did we achieve the GP target, but we also exceeded that goal by 20%. Testimonials from speakers, sponsors and attendees alike were glowing, and are a real testament to the success of this event.
TEN6 CREATIVE – LEVI’S EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP SUMMIT
The Levi’s Executive Leadership Summit is one of the most important events on the company’s internal calendar. In 2019 and 2020, TEN6 Creative wanted to deliver an experience that elevated audience engagement and created more memorable moments for attendees than ever before. With approximately 250 attendees from across the world in both 2019 and 2020, TEN6’s objectives were clear: to facilitate idea sharing, team learning and bonding opportunities that transcended distance, language and culture barriers.
THE OIL & GAS COUNCIL – CLARION EVENTS – THE MSGBC BASIN SUMMIT & EXHIBITION
The 4th Annual MSGBC Basin Summit & Exhibition took place in January 2020 in Dakar. Since 2016, the Oil & Gas Council has promoted the region and the development of its nascent oil & gas industry through its partnership with Senegal’s National Oil Company, PETROSEN, and the Ministry of Energy, by hosting the region’s only oil & gas event.
This year, the event hit many major milestones, including hosting the President for the first time and surpassing its target by 35%. A dedicated marketing campaign in both English and French was implemented to ensure small companies were aware of the growing opportunities created by the industry and online booking increasing by 150% compared to the last edition. 2020 highlights also included an unprecedentedly low 4% speaker drop-out rate across the whole conference. The event has grown from strength to strength and the success of this year’s event and fantastic onsite experience has seen us expand to include renewable energy in 2021 to become the only-pan regional energy show. This exceptional growth will be met by a highly symbolic move from the King Fahd Hotel to the much larger CICAD convention centre in 2021.
