Aviva’s first ever gala fundraiser event organised by the Aviva Corporate Events Team in their volunteering hours to raise funds for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. This innovative fundraiser attracted 400 guests and raised over £124K for the charity. The evening itself consisted of treating guests to Adam Handling’s ‘Great British Menu’ incredible entertainment, novel methods for raising funds, a brilliant auction and demo’s by the amazing hearing dogs themselves. Whilst the elements of this event are much the same as any other corporate fundraiser, guests were wowed by the level of detail and the meticulous planning.
Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals, Payroll Live 2024
The Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) serves payroll, pensions and reward professionals. In 2024 it launched a new free-to-attend, one-day conference – ‘Payroll Live’.
The format and programme provided a new opportunity for payroll professionals to stay informed of the latest updates, trends and best practices in the payroll field, as well as to establish connections with relevant suppliers and vendors.

Launched and delivered by Redactive Events in just four months, the inaugural Payroll Live was a resounding success.
emap Publishing, Life Sciences & Research Clusters Conference 2024
The inaugural Life Science & Research Clusters Conference in June 2024, a collaboration between Construction News and Property Week, successfully united over 250 industry professionals and nine sponsors to discuss the future of life science and research facilities in the UK. Held in Canary Wharf, a growing hub for life sciences, the one-day event featured diverse interactive sessions. Highlights included a Breakfast Briefing on the UK Life Sciences Real Estate Outlook, expert-led panel discussions, and ‘Find Your Tribe!’ roundtable debates tackling ESG, occupier needs, and asset management. Themed content streams allowed attendees to tailor their experience, focusing on either real estate development or construction design and delivery. A key highlight was an exclusive site visit to The Paper Yard, a cutting-edge 33,000 sq ft lab-enabled space, in partnership with British Land. AI-driven technology captured and displayed live session insights, enhancing engagement. Looking ahead to 2025, the event is set to expand with an awards programme, recognising outstanding firms, pioneering projects, and visionary professionals shaping the future of life sciences and research development.
Nesta, Policy Live
In September 2024, Nesta and BIT launched Policy Live, a new one-day public policy conference in Westminster. Designed as a forum to spark conversation and debate amongst everyone working on policy, the event tackled some of the big policy questions that the country faces today.
With over 350 carefully selected delegates from government, think tanks, academia, and civil society, the event provided an optimistic, solutions-focused space to explore the UK’s biggest policy challenges.
With over 90 speakers across 28 sessions, unlike traditional policy events, Policy Live featured interactive and immersive sessions, such as Be the Chancellor, Policy Top Trumps, and The Simulation Room, sparking conversations and connections that extended well beyond the day itself. The event attracted multiple Government departments, facilitated high-value follow-on meetings, and platformed policy ideas that are already being considered – such as Blueprint for Halving Obesity.
Policy Live set out to reinforce Nesta and BIT’s role as key conveners in the policymaking space. The event not only met this objective but exceeded it – strengthening our position as thought leaders, expanding our policy influence, and deepening engagement with key stakeholders across government within our mission areas.
The Channel Company, CRN Channel Awards Deutschland
Building on the remarkable success of our publication website, CRN Deutschland (www.crn.de), launched in 2023, we proudly introduced the Channel Awards Deutschland in 2024. Inspired by the phenomenal 32-year legacy of the UK Channel Awards, which has become the premier event in the technology industry – we launched these awards as our first German event.
The CRN Channel Awards Deutschland recognise and celebrate achievements in the IT channel across the DACH region, with categories segmented into four core areas: vendors, IT service providers, distributors, and manufacturers. There is a category for everyone working in the technology channel industry, ensuring that all contributions are acknowledged and celebrated.
The Hive Network, Capital Markets Xchange (CMX)
CMX took a fresh look at what makes a valuable finance conference. Moving away from standard formats, we created an event at Woolwich Works that combined serious content with a more engaging atmosphere. The CMX Marketplace, with its mix of food trucks, networking spaces, and live music, helped break down the usual barriers to conversation.
Content ran across four carefully planned stages. While the Main Stage tackled broader industry themes, dedicated tracks for Equities, Fixed Income, and FX let people dig into their specific interests through roundtables and workshops.
Our focus on quality showed in the numbers – a 70:30 buy-side to vendor split that enabled real peer learning. We brought together 51 industry experts, including 33 Heads of Trading from major asset managers, who shared practical experiences rather than theory.
The commercial success – £438,000 in sponsorship – came from working closely with partners like Bloomberg and the London Stock Exchange. But more importantly, it showed that the industry was ready for change.
In the end, CMX wasn’t just about hosting another conference – it was about creating better ways for the trading community to learn from each other.
