Mad World – Mad World Summit
Mad World Summit is Europe’s only solutions-focused conference and exhibition with a clear mission: to eradicate stigma and spark a new era of mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
The 3 Track conference was led by hugely influential business and political leaders including Sir Ian Cheshire, Sir Vince Cable, Prof Dame Carol Black, Prof Sir Cary Cooper, Lord Dennis Stevenson and many other luminaries.
Each session began with a 3 minute “Energy Boost” session guided by a professional mindfulness therapist to get the audience to focus and engage – big success!
The event included an exhibition area for 24 displays including 3 different types of immersion pods for mindfulness and AR.
The afternoon break was highlighted by a “Flash Mob” of delegates breaking into song – singing does make you happy!
The event was a sell out and the audience reaction universally ecstatic and grateful.
The orgnaisers are grateful for the support of Forbes, BITC, MQ Mental Health, The Lord Mayors Office “This is Me” green ribbon campaign and the RetailTrust plus many more!
It was without doubt the most successful and most rewarding event we have ever launched.

MAD//Fest London
The disconnect between existing marketing events and what marketing/media leaders want was the motivating forces for Dan Brain and Ian Houghton, two first time event entrepreneurs, to launch MAD//Fest London in 2018, a Marketing, Advertising and Disruption festival designed to combine fun, credibility and buyers at scale.
In six months, MAD//Fest secured investment from publisher Mediatel, built a business from scratch, developed a unique model, delivered a show that challenged existing industry exhibitions and established a distinctively different show that exceeded all commercial and visitor expectations.
Their invite-only model enabled them to reverse the ratio of buyers to suppliers at events and deliver an audience of 2,713 leaders, 87% of whom were senior buyers.
SBL Ideas – This Can Happen
This Can Happen is a solutions-led corporate mental health conference which launched in 2018 to a sell out audience of 750 delegates from over 120 companies. The event took place at the Intercontinental Hotel at The 02 with 3 stages, 23 sessions, 60+ speakers and an experiential zone with VR and role play.
This was not an HR conference, rather we asked companies to send delegations from post room to boardroom since mental health affects every level of every company. Everything we did was solutions-led meaning each session needed to outline to the delegates what they can use in their day to day lives. We went further and produced our ebook which outlined each session, what was discussed with the key solutions.
This has been downloaded over 4,000 times and now sits on hundreds of company intranets as a ready reference mental health tool.
Was it successful? Well we had delegations from 16 of the top 20 Law firms, 7 of the top 10 Accountancy practices, every major Bank and Insurance company, advertising agencies, food manufacturers and construction companies.
So what’s next. We will have over 1,000 delegates this year. Will you be one of them?
Telegraph Events – Women Mean Business Live
Women Mean Business Live (WMBL) was more than a conference linked to a publication, it was the power of live journalism at its best. Bringing editorial vision of driving profound change through the collective voice of our nation’s most successful men and women across media, politics, fashion and business to life. It set the media agenda and forced the Government to take action.
Smashing every target it was set, delivering >500 delegates, exceeding both delegate and sponsorship targets and creating a powerful platform to empower a hugely influential national movement, created and championed by The Telegraph’s leading journalists.
An unparalleled speaker programme, it drove action and change, amplifying critical policy-changing conversations on women’s equality and rights. With standing room only in many sessions, this event saw unprecedented demand by delegates and was rich in aligned and meaningful
sponsorship partnerships. A powerful ecosystem confronting and driving change, powered by our Telegraph’s outstanding journalism and senior leadership including Nick Hugh CEO, Jo Morell (Managing Editor). Chris Evans (Editor) Victoria Harper (Features Director) and Claire Cohen (Women’s and Associate Features Editor)
