Brandfuel – Zeitgeist
We delivered the first Zeitgeist Partnership Forum in 2006 and have been Google’s agency Partner for this event for the last 13 yearsIt has become their most high profile European event. Zeitgeist is a two day, invite-only conference covering politics, economics, sport, culture, philosophy, philanthropy and technology.
It has always been held at The Grove Hotel in Watford, where each year, 250 European C-level executives, Oscar winners, human rights ambassadors, philosophers, Nobel Laureates, Politicians and scientists assemble to discuss the spirit of our times and debate what the future holds.
The objective each year is to do it better. The structure of the event has been reviewed every year to constantly improve the guest experience. Its key elements are a plenary of 2 days, 2 dinners, a showcase space and activities programme. Our challenge has been to reinvent it each year to engage the guests anew. We seem to have managed to do that each year and we have exceeded all expectations on every level.
Top Banana – DFS Annual Conference
Every year leading furniture retailer DFS hosts an annual conference for 450 of its store managers and office-based staff, ahead of its peak trading period and winter sale. The aim is to motivate, inspire and equip store managers with everything they need ahead of its busy peak trading time and update them with important business messages. Working on this event for the first time, Top Banana really challenged the key stakeholders at DFS and pushed them out of their comfort zone to ensure the audience would sit up, listen and go away knowing exactly what they needed to do to add to the success of the market leading business.
With a theme ‘Play to Win’ the balanced agenda was built around the business’s newly launched values. Venturing away from the ‘sit and tell’ conference format, Top Banana turned the conference on its head and created eight truly immersive environments where delegates rotated in groups to get all the knowledge, they needed ahead of the peak trading season. With the finale of an amazing evening gala dinner and awards ceremony, DFS said it was their best conference yet and were delighted with the post-event feedback that revealed record breaking stats.

UK Gift Card and Voucher Association – UK Gift Card and Voucher Association Conference
The UK Gift Card and Voucher Association (UKGCVA) conference aims to inform, educate and inspire with a range of topics including online shopping and marketing trends as well as legal/VAT updates to raise the profile and educate around gift cards. We engage keynote speakers from outside of the industry to talk about key retail trends whilst relating back to gift cards, plus useful consumer research and a white paper to engage the c-suite. The goal is to provide inspiration, innovation, best practice and new ideas to help advance the industry – as well as the very best networking opportunities.
In 2015, the association was losing members, becoming less relevant and meetings were not providing enough content. The new Director General, Gail Cohen came in and Natasha Russell was brought on board to help organise the conference, an annual event open to members and non-members. Over the past three years the conference has been overhauled, introducing a new format and more polished event that has grown and attracted international speakers, delegates and sponsorship. It is now the flagship industry event, for UK and overseas Gift card professionals and a key event for the association in terms of revenue and membership benefits.
