ALM – Legal Week Connect
Legal Week Connect London was launched in reaction to the numerous calls from the legal industry to CONNECT those in charge of their legal business, from Managing and Senior Partners through to Project Managers, Heads of Innovation as well as functional Department Heads and General Counsel.
Our goal was to assist legal departments with developing into cross-functional, collaborative machines as the feedback from the market had been that they are tired of working in silos and not making the most of one another’s knowledge.
We had speakers from every walk of life, who were tasked with making each audience member step outside of the legal stratosphere and look at how they could implement connection from other industries to their own.
Our connection with our editorial teams and ambassador groups allowed for us to create and disseminate a welcome programme into the market. It was also recognised that the firms themselves need to go a long way in relation to their cross function connectivity and our programme began this process for many.
Business Reporter – The European Information Security Summit (TEISS)
TEISS 2018 – The European Information Security Summit – is produced in association with Business Reporter/TEISS: Cracking Cyber Security publications. The conference tackles the most pressing issues of cyber security and risk across all business sectors, focusing on practical approaches and lessons that can be learned from different markets. The publication produces articles throughout the year which keep awareness of the event high, and the event contributes interviews and reports to the publication throughout its production cycle.
Fully CPD-certified, TEISS runs three parallel conference tracks addressing the challenges of awareness and cultural change, data and technology management, and securing the internet of things. This approach – focusing on skills within the broader industry, rather than problems specific to limited vertical markets – has helped to make it the largest event of its kind in Europe.
C21Media – Content London
You know you’re doing something right when an award-winning conference venue cites you as “the best event we’ve worked on in recent years”.
Kings Place’s business development director was quoted in January saying: “[Content London 2017] embraced all that the venue had to offer and their event impacted every department within the venue… The whole venue was transformed with branding, production and furniture. It was an absolute joy to work with such open-minded and creative clients”.
Content London has grown from a 200-person gathering to a market-leading £1m+ conference and networking event for the entertainment industry. Attracting more than 1,500 key players from the global content business and increasing revenue by 823% in the five years since launch.
Its success demonstrates how to extend a market-leading publishing brand into a market-leading conference business, exploiting the converged offering to deliver an ‘unfair advantage’ that standalone events struggle to compete with.
Content London 2017 was a hit, selling out six weeks before the event and showing year-on-year growth of 135% in delegate revenue and 43% in sponsorship revenue, going 18% over target.
It transformed parent company C21Media’s business, showing how conferences can be integrated into publishing businesses with dramatic effect.
Energy Live News – Energy Live Expo
Energy Live Expo (http://www.energylivenews.com/eln_event/expo/) was established by Energy Live News (ELN) in November 2012. It has now become the go-to-event for both end users and suppliers in the energy world. With more than 650 delegates and accounting for 25% of our turnover. It is a huge event. But when it started it nearly bankrupted the company, to say it has been a roller coaster is an understatement.
Success for Energy Live Expo is very easy to quantify. From 2012 to 2017 we have had the following growth:
– Delegates from 420 to 650
– Delegates’ energy spend at the event from £1bn to more than £3bn
– Revenue increase of 277%
– Major partners from one to four
– Six content sessions to 30
– One content area to seven
We just wanted to put on a show that highlighted energy and would be the number one conference for energy end users. Energy Live Expo has become that show.
Don’t take our word for it, here are what the delegates say http://www.energylivenews.com/2017/11/03/energy-live-expo-delegates-say-it-was-a-hit/.
And if you want a flavour of what we do, here are the highlights http://www.energylivenews.com/2017/11/14/inaugural-energy-live-expo-tops-all-expectations/.
FinTech Futures – Banking Technology Awards 2017
Now in its 19th year, the Banking Technology Awards recognise excellence and innovation in the use of IT in financial services worldwide, and the people who make it happen.
The awards are well-established and reputable in the tech industry, and have been around long before all the tech stuff was cool and trendy! In 2017, the Awards were the largest for us to date – in terms of the number of attendees and nominations.
We have completely revamped and re-launched Banking Technology Awards in 2017, including the awards categories, logo/branding, website, social media and marketing materials.
Our efforts and the outcome have been welcomed by the global fintech community and have surpassed our expectations – with the entries to take part in our awards more than doubled compared to 2016 and the number of guests attending the ceremony also doubled.
A great example of a successful combination of the long history and innovation!
