Ian started his media career at Haymarket and then Informa. Events for him came later at both Reed and Emap. Over a few pints in 2018 with mate and now business partner Dan Brain they decided to create a business festival that felt a bit like going to Glastonbury and MAD//Fest was born

Commodities People events follow the Confex model with events taking place in Europe, Asia and the US.

Clare is COO and Co-Founder of The PIE – an independent B2B media, events and recruitment platform for the international education community, which transforms knowledge and networks globally. The PIE runs conferences each year in the UK, US and Australia, as well as The PIEoneer Awards, which celebrate innovation and achievement across the international education sector. Clare heads up the events team and is passionate about delivering the best possible experiences and outcomes for attendees.
Martin Fullard
Martin Fullard is Director – News & Content at brand communications agency Davies Tanner, where he fronts The Business of Events, an independent Think Tank and platform for Policy, Advocacy, Content, and Engagement, which works to research and develop Government policy initiatives for the events industry.
Alongside supporting clients with their own brand content, he offers industry commentary and supports advisory work to the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Events, the DCMS, and industry trade bodies.
He was previously an industry journalist at Conference News and Exhibition News, appearing on the BBC, LBC, CNN, and in a host of national and regional titles advocating for the events sector.

Chris has worked in events for over 20 years starting in AV and production he has worked for some of the best-known media companies in B2B events including Emap, Wilmington and Procurement Leaders. Now with Insurance Insider (part of the Delinian group) Chris is Product Director for their portfolio of events and digital media.
