Whether a seminar, round-table, awards or summit this category applies to any event format that takes its name or is inextricably linked with a publication/online information provider . As usual the judges will be looking for successful performance metrics and demonstrable creativity

In addition to the usual excellence in marketing, experience and sponsorship & exhibition involvement this category also focused on the committee and member engagement elements plus the demonstration of how the event furthers the aims of your association.
Best Conference by a Small Company (under 20 FTE employees)
If you have less than 20 FTE employees and have run an event since January 1st 2017 which can demonstrate incisive research; creative marketing; delighted sponsors, exhibitors and delegates and met all your financial key performance indicators — then this category is for you.
Best Conference by an Events Agency
This can apply to just one conference or a series held entirely in the UK or also abroad. You will need to demonstrate outstanding client relationships; delivering impeccably on brief; innovative and creative execution and budgetary assiduousness.
Best Conference Series
Applying to multiple conferences that are in the same sector, UK or international, the judges will be looking for evidence of creativity and innovation in marketing; rigorous research; a successful event experience for sponsors, exhibitors and delegates and achieving or exceeding financial objectives.
Best Geo-Cloning of an Event
If you have transposed a successful event to a new territories then demonstrate how you applied particular learnings or different techniques to ensure success beyond the event’s original borders.
Best Large Scale Event or Congress
Applying to events with more than 500 delegates, this award looks for innovative and effective marketing; exceptional financial performance and growth of audience. It can apply to a UK or international event.
Best Event Re-vamp or Re-launch
Sometimes the old ones really are the best! If you have rescued an event from the scrapheap or re-vitalised a flagging series with a re-fresh or a complete overhaul then this is the category to boast about your success.
Best Awards Event
This category is applicable for any UK or international Award who can boast: a stellar awards application process; a strong judging panel and robust judging process; creative sponsorship ideas; great website and innovative ideas on staging the ceremony, plus, of course, outstanding financial, attendance and feedback metrics.

Judges will be considering how you as a venue go above and beyond in your relationship with clients; how flexible you are and how you work with your clients as a team. What kind of training initiatives you have implemented to engender good service and glowing testimonials from attendees.

Judges will be looking for an event that met and exceeded its brief; one that displays an innovative approach and breaks the mould in terms of creativity plus delivering excellent ROI and generating positive attendee feedback.
Best Event Operations Team
Awarded to logistics teams from within event organisers the focus here is on outstanding results on either one particular event or on a series. Judges will be considering efficiency and organisational measures; negotiation skills and cost management; “beyond reproach” customer service and adaptability in the face of unforeseen challenges.
Best Free to Attend Conference
Judged on quality of research, creativity and effectiveness of marketing; success with sponsors & exhibitors; the delegate experience and financial achievement this award is given to an event which is free for delegates to attend staged in the UK or overseas.

Whether a commercial joint-venture or a more loose collaboration, you must be able to show how the expectations, aims and objectives of both (or more) parties in staging the event were achieved and how each contributed in their separate ways to the success.
